"Epic Mickey" More Concept Art

So about a month back I read something on an animation site I read daily about a new console game called "Epic Mickey". Little was known about the game, except it is being created by Junction Point and Disney Interactive that is being created only for the Wii.
Now if one had just heard that, they would not give it a second thought, as I was about to do, until I saw this concept art that they had released.

This immediately got my attention and I searched for more artwork, and found
many other breath taking sketches. Not much is known about this project, but it is around the corner and I can't wait.

This image was just released in "Gameinformers" cover a few days ago, and on
ly makes this game look so so much cooler. Apparently when this issue releases, alot more will be known.

Below are more sketches. Enjoy, I am.

And yes, I know, I adore Disney, and they own everything, but thats just how the mickey shaped cookie crumbles.

La Nostalgia del Sr. Alambre

Yeah its foreign, but come on, its stop motion.
This short film has a Corpse Bride meets South Park look to it, but from the trailer, it looks pretty amazing. Sure it has a mixture of stop motion and CGI, but hey, whats more visually stunning then Nightmare Before Christmas. Nothing I tell you, nothing.

But hey! This movie has been showing at screenings all over the U.S. Granted none of us will ever see it, but the trailer is totally worth watching.

So The Dark Knight Wasn't Heath's Last Film?

Im sure 99.9% of you are quiet aware of the magnificant performance the late Heath Ledger served in playing the vile villian "Joker" in Christopher Nolans latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight".

Yet soon after the shooting of his parts, Heath Ledger pas
sed away after accidently mixing a perscribed pain medication, due to back pain, with sleeping pills.

(note: his death had nothing to do with his role as playing the Joker. That was just a bunch of rubbish put together by the press)

Now as far as I knew, that was the last role Ledger would make in cinema. Yet to my surprise, the movie he had started to work on after TDK, is still going to make it to the big screen.

"Imaginirum of Doctor Parnassus"
This is a screenshot of Heath Ledger playing the character "Tony". This clip is on YouTube, and you can watch a huge chunck of it here:

Now I watched an interesting interview with director Terry Gillam and he talked about how he was very lucky to get most of Heath's shooting completed before his untimely death.

Now according to IMDB.com Heaths character also takes on other forms, based on different characters dreams and perceptions. And the actors portraying Tony's other transformations are Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell.

Now that, my friends, is AMAZING.

I am very pumped for this. Sadly, this film does not yet have a U.S. distributer yet. So we may not be seeing this movie for awhile to come.

Release date is october 16th 2009, in Italy.

Alice in Wonderland

Ah good old Alice and Wonderland. The acid trip we all watched when we were little...

So for awhile Tim Burtons new upcoming film, Alice And Wonderland has been not much more than a small buzz in the cyber world. Little had been heard about the production of the movie, outside of the actress Mia Wasikowska is playing Alice, and Johnny Depp is playing the madhatter.

And that was all we knew. Until a few months later this picture posted:

This looked pretty cool, and got me even more interested in what else was coming with this movie.

About 3 or 4 weeks ago a bundle of pictures surfaced:

Oh yeah by the way...

I started writing a childrens book awhile back. It doesnt have a title yet, but its about a little boy who discovers a colony of gnomes, and how he develops a friendship with a certain gnome, and at the end of the day, he helps save the gnome colony form the evil bad guys.

I know what a killer plot, but you know what, its a kids book. Lay off.

So I started looking to see how much it would cost for a publishing company to publish my book. And to my surprise, it cost well over $1,000, but it goes as cheap as $500, if you call that cheap.

But the 1k is really the way to go, it has the whole package with it copyright, etc. But obviously i don't have the money yet to get published so I will just have to wait until I can save up for that.

One of my good mates from Liberty, Derek Allen, who was the bass player in the band Brighter And Brighter, that I use to be a part of, is illustrating all of the pictures for the book. (pictured above is a early concept drawing)

So I hope within the end of 09 to have this thing published one way or another.

Stay tuned!

What time Is It?

A good friend of mine said the other day "Gods time is better than T.V" and it kinda made me chuckle. It was a good saying, and it actually helped me out a little. I guess I'm saying that right now I don't really feel like I am really moving toward my goal in life at this point.

I have gotten involved in the Church, I am serving in at least three different ways, but I still feel like somethings missing.

Like I need to find that one extra thing that will make everything else fall into line.

I'm just not quiet sure what that is...

So all I can do is sit back, say a little prayer, and be ready for God's timing.

Whenever that is...

SpongeBob Vs. Flapjack

As I sit here watching my parents glorious HDTV is sit here and marvel at the bliss of High definition cartoons. I have stumbled upon a predicament of the century er... of the day I guess.

Im not sure how many of you still watch cartoons, but recently (within the year) Cartoon network has released a new show called "The Misadventures of Flapjack"

And if you haven't seen it, well its ten times dumber than Spongebob.

But in my opinion, ten times better.

Not that I don't still love my Spongebob. Im just saying. You might wanna check it out.
